"A planted place" is how American garden designer Louise Beebe Wilder (1878-1938) defined a garden. I think it is the best and most concise description I've come across.
This blog is focused on my own small garden in Vancouver, Canada, but the title allows me to include other gardens and plants from time to time if I find them interesting.

Continuing progress outside
The backyard paving is now complete. Even with so few plantings, the space is beginning to look like a garden.
Next year I'll hope to have more than a cluster of tulips in bloom.
